Family with children stay was fun!

I loved how the staff was super friendly! ! No wait at check-in, they already had my keys ready! Plus, the pool was warm and perfect for my kids.

It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but you get what you pay for.

The stay was pleasant overall, as we enjoyed exploring the nearby attractions. The location is a real plus, and we felt comfortable in our room, which was clean and cozy. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, making it easy for us to start the day on a positive note. However, the air conditioner in our room struggled a bit, blowing mostly musty air, but we managed by opening the windows at night. All in all, it was a good experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which is just a short drive from Adventureland Amusement Park. The breakfast was a real treat, offering a delicious variety that helped fuel our fun-filled days.

My wife says that the trash can was far too small for a family of our size.

We had an awesome trip with friends! We loved being just a short drive from Wells Fargo Arena and Adventureland Amusement Park. Just a heads up, the parking can get tight, but that didn’t ruin our fun!

One thing to note, though, was that the outside doors didn't seem very secure, so be aware of that if you're staying here. Otherwise, we had a fantastic time!

The parking situation left much to be desired, especially during busy weekends, which can be frustrating for anyone with a vehicle. The rooms are on the smaller side, and the outdated decor and furniture made the space feel cramped. while the beds were cozy, it got dicey maneuvering around each other without stepping on toes. The sensor lights beneath the beds were excessively bright, leading to some immediate blinding moments at night when trying to navigate the room. Also, I noticed some maintenance issues like loose toilet seats and a squeaky mattress that woke me up more than I'd like.

Great staff, but the internet was terrible. Disappointing.

I travel to and stay in the Des Moines area approximately 50 nights per year. The Best Western Plus Altoona Inn always makes me feel at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have a nice cozy corner for relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful, always accommodating my needs. Plus, the complimentary popcorn and cookies are a delightful treat!

Dude, the breakfast spread was clutch—think yogurt bar and pancake maker, pure joy! Plus, being right next to Adventureland was the cherry on top, especially after a wild day. My crew loved lounging by the pool too. it had a nice vibe!
